Yes, the Vallejo July 4th Parade is a free community event open to the public.


Yes. The Vallejo July 4th Parade is intended to be a welcoming, family-friendly community celebration.


Yes, leashed and well behaved dogs are welcomed to spectate with everyone else. There will be crowds, loud noises, fire engines, and horses so please plan accordingly.

The Vallejo July 4th Parade does not include a fireworks show. To keep the celebration going, we encourage everyone to head to the evening Mare Island Spirit Ship Celebration, featuring a spectacular drone light show over the waterfront. The event takes place from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM at the Mare Island Promenade—a perfect way to cap off your Independence Day in Vallejo.

The parade is open to community groups, schools, performers, local organizations, businesses, and individuals who want to be part of the celebration.


The theme for Vallejo's July 4th Parade changes every year. This year’s parade marks the 171st Vallejo July 4th Parade, while also celebrating the 250th birthday of the United States. The 2026 theme, Happy 250th Birthday, USA, recognizes both local legacy and national history.

Participant staging and check-in details will be provided after your application is approved. Lineup information will be e-mailed to the contact person before the parade.


Yes. All participants are required to review and follow the official Parade Rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable event.


Entries that do not follow parade guidelines or safety requirements may be removed from the parade at the discretion of organizers.
